16.83ct Kashmir Sapphire Ring in Platinum

Not for sale · available only upon inquiry

A 16.83-carat Kashmir sapphire, cushion cut and bezel-set in a heavy brushed-platinum mounting. Kashmir is the most sought-after origin in the sapphire world: the mines in the Zanskar range produced for only a few decades in the late 1800s, and the stones they yielded carry a soft, velvety blue, saturated without being dark, that no other source has matched. Stones of this size with that color are seen at auction a few times a decade.

The mounting is deliberately plain. A wide bezel in platinum protects the stone and lets the color do the work; it reads equally well as a men's ring or a bold cocktail ring.

We held this ring in New York's Diamond District on October 23, 2026. It is from the personal collection of Joe G. Pacetti and is not offered for sale except upon inquiry through us; laboratory documentation of origin accompanies a stone of this importance and will be reviewed with any serious inquiry.
