Custom Engagement Rings on Long Island
MM Fine Jewelry and Gems designs custom engagement rings for couples across Long Island, New York City and the tri-state area. We meet by private appointment in Rockville Centre, in Nassau County, or online, so you can plan your ring with an expert without fighting mall crowds or high-pressure counters.
Designed with a GIA Diamond Program Graduate
Marc Merritt is a GIA Diamond Program Graduate (Graduate Diamonds, 2018) and a lifelong gem collector. He walks you through the diamond itself, not just the setting: cut, color, clarity and carat, how certificates from GIA and IGI compare, and where your budget makes the biggest visible difference. Many clients first read his book, Unveiling the Secret to Engagement Ring Bliss, before they come in.
Natural or lab-grown diamonds, or the gemstone of your choice
- Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds and let the same budget buy a much larger stone. We source GIA- and IGI-graded lab-grown diamonds in VS quality and above. Browse lab-grown diamonds.
- Natural diamonds remain the choice for many couples who value rarity. We source certified natural diamonds to your specifications.
- Colored gemstones, including sapphire, ruby, spinel, tourmaline and tanzanite, make a ring that no one else will have. Browse loose gemstones.
Not sure which is right for you? Our guide to lab-grown and natural diamonds explains the real differences honestly.
How a custom ring comes together
- Share your idea. Send a link, a photo or a sketch, or meet with us in person in Rockville Centre or online.
- Choose your stone. We source options and send a detailed quote that includes applicable sales tax and insured shipping within the U.S.
- Approve your design. You approve a detailed CAD design, with every measurement, before anything is made.
- We craft it. Lead times are up to three weeks, depending on the piece and the time of year.
- See it before you pay the balance. Clients in the New York tri-state area can view the finished ring in person at a private showing before final payment.
