35.50ct Fancy Intense Yellow Cushion Diamond Ring
Not for sale · available only upon inquiry
A 35.50-carat natural Fancy Intense Yellow cushion brilliant, VS clarity, set between two trapezoid-cut white diamonds. Yellow diamonds take their color from nitrogen trapped in the crystal as it formed; at this size the color has to be even from edge to edge, with no brown or green modifier, and saturated enough to earn the Fancy Intense grade, a full step above Fancy Yellow on the GIA scale.
The cutter kept the outline elongated rather than square, which is the hardest proportion to hold at this weight, and the trapezoid sides frame the stone without competing with it. Natural yellows over 30 carats with color this even are a rarity even on 47th Street; most go to auction or straight to private collectors.
We held this ring in New York's Diamond District on October 23, 2026. It is from the personal collection of Joe G. Pacetti and is not offered for sale except upon inquiry through us. Read more about it in our article on the world's most famous diamonds.
